Every MEG piece is made to order and hand-finished in our atelier. With the right care, it will stay beautiful for years. If you have a question about your piece, or believe there is a fault, contact us with your order reference and photographs.
Warranty
Warranty terms depend on the product and materials and are confirmed in your order documentation. If you believe you have a warranty issue, contact the showroom with:
- Your name, order reference and date of delivery.
- A clear description of the issue.
- Photographs or a short video showing the issue and the surrounding area.
We will review the information and discuss the appropriate next step, which may include an inspection, repair, replacement or another solution. Normal wear, accidental damage, improper use, exposure to harsh conditions and unauthorised alterations are not covered.
Wood & lacquer
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth only when needed, then dry immediately.
- Avoid harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners, polish with silicone and solvents.
- Keep furniture away from direct heat, radiators and prolonged direct sunlight.
- Use coasters and felt pads to protect surfaces from hot or sharp objects.
- Solid wood responds to humidity. Keep the room well ventilated and avoid prolonged damp or very dry conditions.
Marble & stone
- Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth.
- Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners, vinegar, lemon and harsh chemicals.
- Blot spills immediately, especially wine, coffee, oil and citrus.
- Use coasters and mats. Stone is durable but can stain, etch or chip if mistreated.
- Natural variation in veining and colour is part of the character of the stone.
Upholstery, velvet & bouclé
- Vacuum gently with a soft upholstery attachment on a low setting.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth. Do not rub.
- Use a professional upholstery cleaner for stubborn marks, after testing in an inconspicuous area.
- Keep upholstery out of prolonged direct sunlight to reduce fading.
- Rotate cushions regularly for even wear and plump them gently by hand.
Gold leaf, silver leaf & gilding
- Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or microfibre cloth.
- Never use abrasive cleaners, polishes or water on gilded surfaces.
- Avoid touching gilded details frequently; natural oils from hands can mark the surface.
- Keep the area free of harsh cleaning sprays and solvents.
Lighting & metalwork
- Switch off and allow the piece to cool before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and abrasive cleaners on metal finishes.
- Have electrical work and installation carried out by a qualified professional.
- Crystal and glass components should be handled carefully and cleaned with a suitable glass cloth.
Moving your furniture
Lift and carry pieces rather than dragging them. Remove loose cushions, protect surfaces and use suitable blankets. For large or delicate pieces, ask us for advice before moving or relocating them.
